We will inspect your residential or commercial property,
advise about effective treatments, and then get the job done. We'll also set up a regular maintenance schedule if need be
to help you control any problems. Our general services include:
Ants
Damage:
Ants cause various types of damage, depending upon
the variety. Carpenter ants tunnel through wood, destroying structures. All ants contaminate the food they infest.
Detection and Treatment:
Ants build massive colonies, so their presence is generally detected when you
see the ants themselves or the frass they leave behind. We use non-barrier treatments that kill the entire nest. Learn more about undetectable treatments.

Rodents
Damage:
Rodents
consume and contaminate food. They also gnaw on electrical wires, wooden structures, and tear insulation in walls and ceilings
for nesting. Rodents can also transmit disease to humans, pets, and livestock. They have been found to transmit typhus, leptospirosis,
trichinosis, and salmonellosis.
Detection and Treatment:
The presence of mice and rats is usually detected by the damage they cause to food and structures,
by their droppings, and by their nests. Treatment involves eliminating all entry points and population reduction by the application
of rodenticides and traps.

Cockroaches
Damage:
Cockroaches spread human disease
by depositing disease organisms on food and utensils. The American cockroach, which comes into contact with human excrement
in sewers or with pet droppings, may transmit bacteria that cause Salmonella and Shigella. German cockroaches are believed
to be capable of transmitting disease-causing organisms such as Staphylococcus, hepatitis, and coliform
bacteria. They also have been implicated in the spread of typhoid and dysentery.
Recent studies have found a strong association between the presence of cockroaches and increases in the severity
of asthma symptoms in individuals who are sensitive to cockroach allergens.
Detection
and Treatment:
Cockroaches may become pests in homes, restaurants, hospitals, warehouses, offices, and virtually
any structure that has food preparation or storage areas. These pests are common even in the cleanest of crowded urban areas
and older dwellings. It’s usually not difficult to discover an infestation, because they are often visible. Treatment
usually involves sealing cracks and crevices to block entrance; keeping food and trash areas clean to avoid providing food;
and the professional application of insecticide and bait on a regular basis. Click here for more info on cockroaches. We use undetectable treatments the pests nerver know they are
there. Learn more about non-barrier treatments.

Spiders
Wolf
spiders are a common household pest in the fall when they are looking for a warm place to spend the winter. They are commonly
found around doors, windows, house plants, basements, garages, and in almost all terrestrial habitats. They do not spin a
web but roam at night to hunt for food. Wolf spiders are often confused with the brown recluse, but they lack the unmistakable
violin-shaped marking behind the head. The wolf spider is shy and seeks to run away when disturbed.

Biting and Stinging Pests
Damage:
Wasps are dangerous because of their painful and
potentially harmful stings.
Detection and Treatment:
Wasp
nests and bee hives can be removed by professionals with protective gear. Insecticides may be used. Click here to learn more about other insects.

Bed
Bugs
Damage:
Bed bugs are increasingly becoming a problem
within residences of all kinds, including homes, apartments, hotels, cruise ships, dormitories and shelters. Repeated exposures
to bed bug bites may cause one to become sensitized to the saliva of these bugs; additional bites may then result in an allergic
responses.
Detection and Treatment:
As the University of Kentucky has noted, "sometimes, characteristic dark brown or reddish fecal spots of bed bugs are
apparent on the bed linens, mattress or walls near the bed. A peculiar coriander-like odor may be detected in some heavily
infested residences. Adhesive-based traps used for sampling insects or rodents are not particularly effective for trapping
bed bugs." We use a combination of chemical treatments to treat your bed bug problem.

Aphids/ Leaf Miners/ Leaf Rollers
Damage:
Large populations
can cause significant damage and eventually cause mold growth. They can also produce large quantities of a sticky exudate
known as honeydew which can attract ants. Some aphid species inject a toxin into plants, which further distorts growth. Aphids
may transmit viruses from plant to plant on certain vegetables and ornamental plants.
Detection and Treatment:
Aphids are small, soft-bodied insects with
long, slender mouth parts that they use to pierce stems, leaves, and other tender plant parts and suck out plant fluids. Many
aphid species are difficult to distinguish; however, identification to species is not necessary to control them in most situations.
Treatment is most likely chemical.

Spruce Beetles
Damage
The spruce beetle, Dendroctonus rufipennis (Kirby), is the most significant natural mortality agent
of mature spruce. Outbreaks of this beetle have caused extensive spruce mortality from Alaska to Arizona and have occurred
in every forest with substantial spruce stands.
Treatment
In Alaska, carbaryl applied as a 2-percent spray has provided
100 percent protection from attacking beetles for at least 2 years.
